Alexandra Walsh is a nationally recognized trial attorney, with extensive experience trying and winning cases in courts throughout the country. Her successes have been recognized by the American College of Trial Lawyers, Chambers & Partners, and the New York Journal Verdict Hall of Fame, among other organizations. While Alex began her career defending corporate clients, in 2021 she began a new chapter in her practice by launching Walsh Law, a firm dedicated to fighting for plaintiffs. In 2024, Alex brought the team she built at Walsh Law to Anapol Weiss where she has helped the firm expand its trial practice to the national level.
Today, Alex dedicates much of her practice to representing survivors of sexual assault. She is co-chair of the Trial Committee in the MDL In re Uber Technologies, Inc. Passenger Sexual Assault Litigation, which has brought to light Uber’s failures to prevent thousands of sexual assaults every year. In addition, Alex represents hundreds of men and women who survived childhood sexual assault while in custody of the various states’ juvenile justice systems. Alex and her team are also fighting to hold Roblox, Discord, and Snapchat accountable for the predatory grooming, sexploitation, and sexual assault that these companies knowingly enable through their online platforms. Most recently, Alex has joined the fight against the Alexander Brothers, real estate moguls who for years used their wealth and prominence to engage in a sprawling sex trafficking scheme.
Alex plays a leadership role in various other national litigations as well, including the MDLs concerning toxic contamination of commercial baby food products; the hidden risks of Ozempic, Wegovy, and other weight loss medications; and the intentionally addictive effect of social media platforms.
Before beginning her law practice, Alex was honored to serve as law clerk to two of the country’s top jurists: the Honorable Merrick B. Garland, then a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and the Honorable Stephen G. Breyer, Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Alex earned her law degree at Stanford Law School, where she was awarded Order of the Coif, and graduated summa cum laude from Bowdoin College.
Alex serves on the board of D.C.’s Legal Aid Society, the city’s oldest and largest civil legal services organization and represents Legal Aid clients in landlord-tenant disputes. Alex is also a board member for LIFT-DC, a national non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for families with children through targeted career, education, and financial coaching.
